Cher to be protested by Westboro Baptist Church

This is just too much.

The rabidly anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church has found a new target to protest: a 68-year-old entertainment goddess named Cher.

In the bizarro press release below, the hate group has a detailed attack of our Cherilyn Sarkisian LaPiere Bono Allman and members of her family.

As you know, there are at least 68 reasons why I love Cher and plenty more. I think this protest, scheduled for May 31 in Kansas City, Missouri, will completely backfire.

You are not a superstar for more than 50 years without legions of true blue fans and admirers.

Long live Cher!

  1. It always does backfire…I’m in KC and they are at many Kansas City special concerts/eventes, since they are only about 1 1/2 hours away in Topeka. These days there are more people picketing against them than there are church members. It’s actually quite the joke, as the the anti-Westboro people are creative and whoop it up. They were just at Kathy Griffin’s show too. Whatever!

  2. and… we just can’t wait to year the pearls that will come out of Cher’s mouth. we know her lexicon will expand greatly.

  3. What God hares more is poor grammar, which these idiots routinely demonstrate.

I’m not an enormous fan of Cher but would back her up 100% against this group. It would be interesting if she went out and approached them directly. Actually the person to do it would be Barbra Streisand who is more than capable of eating them alive. Cher actually be to nice?

  5. I only hope that for every protest they launch the flames of Hell increase 100% each time and roast Fred Phelps a little more and a lot longer.

  6. They’ve turned into a group that has previously irritated and angered me to one that is a laughingstock to me nowadays. I encountered them by accident approximately 18 years ago here in Chicago when they were protesting a church on the north side of the city that didn’t discriminate against gay people. The crowd that had gathered to protest the protest was huge and vocal. The inbed family members had to call the cops and be taken away in paddy wagons for their own safety. LOL It was really something to see!

  7. Why does the press even give them a thought anymore?
A bunch of inbred trailer trash wackos, please please lets
not talk about them anymore. I would never give them a second
thought if it wasn’t for the press bowing down to them. There
are about 12 trillion other things more important to worry about in
this oh so screwed up world thank you.
