Check out the somber but beautiful new Tom Goss single and video: “Still I Want You”
This was meant to post on Valentine’s Day yesterday but it slipped through the cracks during a busy day!
It’s a somber song from singer-songwriter Tom Goss — a personal favorite of mine — for all those who may have been struggling with Valentine’s Day or are stuck in a relationship that isn’t right for them.
Tom writes: “We’ve all been there. Thinking about someone who doesn’t care about us. May you find the courage to love yourself, more than you love another.”
The lyrics and video are below:
–
Still I Want You
You found another one,
left me all alone.
Crying at the alter
in front of my mother.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
You call me on the phone
tell me that you’re sorry.
You come, I hold you close.
You turn away and close.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
I should be stronger than this.
But I’m not stronger than this.
Scattered across the room
a mess of what you’ve strewn.
I finally know the truth.
I am nothing to you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
Still I want you.
