Celebrating Tony winner Tyne Daly’s 74th birthday with some of her memorable musical numbers
Audiences who know Tyne Daly best for her long-running and Emmy winning roles on Cagney & Lacey and Judging Amy (plus two years and another Emmy for Christy) may not be fully aware of what a Broadway diva she is.
She won the Tony Award for her performance as Mama Rose in Gypsy in 1991 and returned to Broadway in 2015 for the musical It Shoulda Been You. She has also appeared on Broadway In the plays Master Class, Rabbit Hole, Mothers & Sons and The Seagull.
I love watching her sing because she’s such a great actress and is never merely singing. She is delivering a full performance.
Enjoy some of the musical numbers from Miss Daly!
