When I think of DC, my thoughts immediately go back to me being 11-yrs old in Stockton, CA watching and listening to American Bandstand for the music and for the latest dance crazes as well who was performing that day — discovered the Philadelphia ‘sound’ and what it meant.

    BOB JOSEPH says:

Thank you Dick for being the spokesman for our Charity the Les Turner ALS foundation in Chicago. With his help we developed the Mammoth Music Mart which ran for 25 years and allowed the foundation to raise significant dollars. Many may not realize but this was the first time Dick ever agreed to act as a spokesman for a charity. That was over 30 years ago.

I worked with Dick during those years and witnessed first hand what a gentleman and showman he was. Astute at business as well as the music industry he helped develop.

My condolences go out to his wife Kari and his children.

You will be missed but never forgotten.
