Here is the season finale of the entertaining web series Old Dogs & New Tricks.

It features guest star Thom Bierdz of The Young and the Restless fame.

The regular cast consists of Leon Acord (Carved in Stone, Some Prefer Cake), Curt Bonnem (Kowalski; Lovelace: The Rock Opera), Jeffrey Patrick Olson (Daddy) and David Pevsner (Naked Boys Singing, To Bitter and Back) as the four main friends in the series.

I’ve just watched the latest episode of the web series Old Dogs & New Tricks and enjoyed it so much I’ve embedded it below!

The actors – David Pevsner, Jeffrey Patrick Olson, Leon Acord and Chris Bonnem – are all first-rate and good for them for giving themselves a showcase for their talent!

They are joined in this episode by the hot and handsome Thom Bierdz who never got a love scene like this playing Phillip Chancellor III on The Young and the Restless.

“I HAVE NOT KISSED AN ACTOR FOR A ROLE SINCE 1989,”  Thom writes in an email. “I didn’t kiss in Melrose Place, Murder She Wrote, Robin’s Hood or Matlock. As an actor, I had reservations about doing this graphic content, but as an artist I did not – and am proud to be a part of anything so ground-breaking.”

I’ll be posting upcoming episodes of this new web series as they become available. Love seeing shows featuring local out actors. In the series pilot of Old Dogs & New Tricks, West Hollywood agent Nathan Adler recalls how he first met 80′s rocker Brad King, personal trainer ‘Muscles’ Carter & actor Ross Stein as he begrudgingly prepares for his 50th birthday party. Stars Leon Acord, Curt Bonnem, Jeffrey Patrick Olson & David Pevsner.

But I happen to have a very good reason to do so today: his character Dan on the web series Then We Got HELP runs this week’s therapy meeting and has each participant write their thoughts about their partner.

Bisexual character Vance is at the meeting and his answer is a little complicated because it is clear that he is caught between his boyfriend and his girlfriend (he lives with both of them!)

Dan had my favorite line of the episode. Vance’s comments remind him a bit of the HBO show Big Love which stars Bill Paxton as a man with three wives.

“I never got into that show,” Eric says. “I mean, who would believe that Bill Paxton would get that much action in real life?”

I would Dan! Bill Paxton was/is HOT!

After a one week hiatus, the terrific web series Then We Got HELP returns with a new episode.

In episode five of season two, the new character of Vance (Eric Anderson) returns. He’s the bisexual man who previously attended the weekly therapy group with his girlfriend. This time, he’s with his boyfriend played by Shane Jacobsen. (The three of them live together!)

The two actors are a delicious addition to the show. Creator and co-star Julie Emery tells me that she and Jacobson did a movie together last summer. Says Julie: “I just absolutely love the relationship he and Eric Anderson have created together. … He absolutely surpassed my expectations when I cast him.  And my expectations were high.”

Secrets are revealed when Anna subjects the group to Lao Tsusian Dream Analysis and one of my favorite moments is when Dan (played by Nicholas Rodriguez – pictured, above) talks about his dream which involved his boyfriend Eric (played by Blake Hammond who is absent from this episode).

On another note, Julie reports that that Darren Le Gallo (he is engaged to Amy Adams) has signed on to appear in the remaining episodes of Season 2.

Says Julie: “He is such a great actor and I love what his presence has added to Emily’s story line, as well as the rest of the show.”

Last week, I posted the first two episodes of the terrific web series Then We Got Help about four couples in group therapy.

One of the couples is the seemingly mismatched Dan and Eric (played by One Life to Live alum Nicholas Rodriguez (pictured left) and actor Blake Hammond).

This week’s episode (the third of season 2) is titled Battle of the Exes and is a real hoot! Eric stays home “sick” but there is a new couple joining the group and we find out that the husband also has a boyfriend!

Congratulations to Julie Emery and the entire cast of Then We Got Help for completing their first season of this terrific show which just won an Indie Soap Award for Best Web Series (Comedy).

Dan and Eric on the web series Then We Got Help are no exception and this week’s episode, “You Are What You Eat,” gives some insight into this growing divide.

Dan (Nicholas Rodriguez) is running the week’s meeting and tries to put the group on a health kick by trying to convince the group that food and exercise effect their mood and therefore their relationship. For example, he thinks Eric (Blake Hammond) needs to eat food in it’s ‘natural state’. Eric’s response? “Danny thinks if I eat cardboard and starve myself I’ll be happy.” Dan “It’s not easy, it’s a lifestyle change.”

There’s a Guest Couple this week played by Brandi Burkhardt (Passions, Mama Mia) and Micheal Weiner.

This episode is a gem!

I’m a few days late in posting the latest episode of Then We Got Help because I wanted to watch it first. I loved it! As you know, this is a web series written and directed and co-starring Julie Ann Emery about four couples who form their own therapy group to save money. It’s group therapy without a therapist!

This week, the episode is Someone Else’s Shoes and the participants take on their partner’s personality traits in a role swapping exercise and the results are hilarious.

I’m of course most interested in the gay couple Dan (Nicholas Rodriguez) and Eric (Blake Hammond) and they are so deliciously bitchy to each other that I was laughing out loud. Dan is the fit hot half of the couple and is always getting hit on and encouraging his overweight partner to eat better and work out.

It shows why they are in therapy!

Episode 4 of the new web series Then We Got Help! is up and live! I have taken particular interest in the show because it features a gay couple played by One Life to Live’s Nicholas Rodriguez and Blake Hammond. But now I’m getting hooked on all of the characters!

This episode is called “Truth or Dare” and creator Julie Ann Emery described it for me this way: When Eric (Hammond) becomes the group’s leader for the night, he makes them play a game of Truth or Dare. Who chooses Truth? Who chooses Dare? And what does Eric make them do?

Eric quotes “Brutal truth is the name of the game and the point of the exercise” and “This is my favorite night ever.”

The game careens between Eric entertaining himself by embarrassing others and some true breakthrough moments from some surprising characters. And Dan’s (Rodriguez) truth is incredibly sweet.

Julie Emery’s terrific web series Then We Got Help about a group of friends who have organized their own therapy session has a new episode out today.

Episode three is 8-Track Soundtrack and there are some revealing moments for the gay couple in the group Dan (Nicholas Rodriguez) and Eric (Blake Hammond). We learn that Dan still believes Eric is the “Right Man” for him. But what is Dan’s reaction when Eric reveals he lives every day waiting for Dan to leave him?
