The drop-dead gorgeous actor is a co-star of CBS’ Criminal Minds playing FBI Special Agent Derek Morgan

Shemar had previously won a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance as Malcom Winters on The Young and the Restless and also spent time as a model and as the host of the dance show Soul Train.

Cher loves doing this song in concert and I love hearing it. It’s her remake of Mark Cohn’s Walking In Memphis from her 1996 album It’s A Man’s World – a modest hit that preceded the smash Believe by a few years. During her endless farewell tour (which I was glad never ended!), Cher would show this video as she sang and talk about how much fun it was to dress up as Elvis Presley. It’s a gem.

Sam Harris is appearing in Palm Springs this weekend and in this “Vlog” post on SamHarris.com, he shows just how very funny and talented he is. Sam has a voice that just soars and he knows how to use it. It’s hard to believe that he won the first original Star Search compeition back in 1983 because he looks about as young now as he did then! Star Search, hosted for many years by Ed McMahon, was basically the American Idol of  its day although in addition to singing, it also had acting, stand-up and spokesmodel categories. Rosie O’Donnell is among the other alumnus.

If you’re wondering where else you may have seen Sam, it could have been on Broadway in any number of shows or on the CBS sitcom The Class which ran for just one season but which was lotsa fun – especially whenever Sam’s seems-so-gay-but-is-straight-character of Perry Pearl was on screen. Just delicious. My favorite Perry line ever: “When life give you lemons…make Chicken Picatta!”
