Carol Burnett: “Cher has never been afraid to be her authentic self without apology”
They were two of the biggest variety TV stars of the 1970s and both had their costumes designed by Bob Mackie.
They are, of course, Carol Burnett and Cher.
Miss Burnett recently attended a performance of The Cher Show on Broadway and shared her feelings on why the Oscar-Grammy-Emmy winning Cher is such a role model. :”I don’t think people realize the types of obstacles that Cher has faced in her career and that she has overcome every single one of them. She’s ambitious with a fearless attitude, she knows what she wants, she knows how to get it, and she looks damned good doing it too. … Cher has never been afraid to be her authentic self.”
