Caitlyn Jenner thinks Ellen DeGeneres is responsible for her unpopularity with the LGBT community

Caitlyn Jenner slams Ellen DeGeneres in her new book and is blaming the talk show host for her unpopularity with the LGBTI community.

Jenner, a conservative Republican, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last year and her seemingly lukewarm endorsement of same-sex marriage was called out by DeGeneres.

Jenner had said then of same-sex marriage: ‘I don’t ever want to stand in front of someone’s happiness. That’s not my job. If that word ‘marriage’ is really, really that important to you I can go with it. I’m on board. It’s going to be pretty much the law of the land. So yeah, I’m ok with that.’

DeGeneres considered that to be a less than ringing endorsement.

She said to Stern of Jenner: ‘You’re wanting people to understand and accept you, and this is really confusing to people. And you still have a judgement about gay people and marriage.’

In her book The Secrets of My Life, Jenner writes: ‘This discussion further alienated me from members of the LGBTQ community. Ellen’s appearance on The Howard Stern Show, where in my mind she even more emphatically took what I said out of context, made it go viral.’

Jenner makes her feelings on the topic more clear: ‘I am for it,’ she writes of same-sex marriage. ‘I did not initially understand why marriage was so important, influenced not doubt by my own personal experience. Now I do, and it’s a wonderful thing to see.’

8 Remarks

  1. I wasn’t a fan of Jenner after the way she behaved before she came out as trans. She let it be known she was conservative. Which translates to anti-gay to me. Then she came out as trans in the Diane Sawyer interview, and it seems like the only thing that changed was her appearance. I didn’t even see the Ellen Degeneres interview. I heard about it, but I didn’t hear about anything that was new. She still sounds like a Republican mouthpiece. I don’t know what she wants. As far as I’m concerned,
Jenner can go back to her mansion in Beverly Hills and stuff her book “You know where”.

  2. Enough with this moronic asshole. Anyone who spends their hard earned money on this book needs their head examined.

That’s the ticket! Blame others for your own bullshit and stupidity! Caitlyn Jenner is a LOSER!!!

  4. Republicans-never able to place themselves in other people’s shoes until it affects them personally.

  5. My disappointment with Ms Jenner does not stem from any comments Degenere
s may have made. Thankfully I’m still one of those people capable of evaluating information via multiple sources, interpreting what I see and Hear, so that I can come to my own conclusions. So far, the evidence leads me to believe that there is a hypocrisy at play, founded on something akin to narcissitic characteristics at the core of who ms Jenner is. This drives Jenner to serve no ones’ needs but her own and blinds her to issues that have no immediate benefit to her..
Im glad she feels better being who she believes she was all along – female. To her it must be liberating but were it not for her status, fame, finances, and male priveledge (which ironically is still afforded to her), she would not be where she is at today. Instead, many doors would remain closed to her and instead of encountering people praising her courage and new found beauty, who would face the men on the train rhythm look down on her and threaten her because she’s a freak in their eyes. She would experience stores that refuse to serve her because of what she is not who she is. She would encounter assault and threats of assault from men or women trying to prove something.
You see, the life of privilege Ms Jenner has has created a world view very much different from the average LGBT person that has walked the same path.
Equality, respect, the right to marry, the right to align finances, the right for that life partner to make decision for you in that time of need, the right to love who we want with forces that attempt to change us or call it wrong. The right to be equal under all laws. The right to happiness.
Unfortunately, ms Jenner is selective in what she fights for which puts equality goals at risk because she refuses to support gay marriage. and that is a world where inequality thrives.

So in case anyone wonders here is my statement on MS Jenner…I am so happy you have found the courage to make changes to yourself on the outside that will help you feel more like the woman you believed you are on the inside.while I don’t understand the lengths you set to get this down, now the journey you took that led you to that final choice. In my view, I don’t understand to it and despite the outward appreance believe you will always be a man. However my belief will not stop me for fighting for respect, you deserve, demanding that you have the same rights as other woman but most importantly Theo same rights Asimov any human because when we wake up every morning, we are all just people trying to live a happy, fullfilled life with love, family and friends. So while may disagree with you status as a woman, I will not fight legislation that omitting prevent you from being recognized as such. I will not fight you desire to ever bel married again should you choose since in your own words marriage between the same sex is not supported, I also won’t raise a fight if you ever choose to adopt since everyone deserves a chancel to be loved. And. When you die, you should have the right to be buried in any cemetery you choose since I believe God love all his creatures equally.

Equally. No different. All living life to find the path to love and happiness which we’d all deserve. I hope ms Jenner you find yours and that your actions and words are such that don’t prevent my happiness in the process. As Ellen Dengenrous says “be good to on another”

  6. Please.

Ms. Jenner is a typical republican: claiming that personal responsibility is the most important thing and then shirking off all of it when attacked or someone disagrees.

The only person responsible for her bad perception in our community is her. From her moronic choices and words about those less well off, to her misunderstanding of the issues that affect the community, to the idea that she would get special treatment among conservatives because she was one.

Whatever. I hope she’s happy and now wish she’d just go into her retirement years out of the spotlight and leave us alone.

  7. No Caitlyn, Ellen didn’t hurt you, YOU coming out as a republican and urging other transsexuals to support Trump/Pence is what hurt you. This is all You. You should have chosen the right candidate and now months later you’re asking Trump to call you because you don’t like his executive orders on LGBT rights which people were warning you about yet you chose not to listen so now you’re pointing the finger at Ellen lol because you made poor public decisions. Caitlyn is exactly like Trump, if he’s having a bad day and upset it’s because of Obama. If Caitlyn isn’t loved it’s because of Ellen or Kris Jenner. Republicans never take responsibility for nothing.

  8. Now maybe some of you will understand more clearly why I said “gag” and “upchuck” when she first announced she was changing. I took a lot of flak when, first, it was a joke because I can’t stand this person and, second, I promise you it had absolutely nothing to do with her becoming a woman. That kind of stuff is none of my business. But I knew she was a republican and I also was sick of her and her Kardashian family being shoved down my throat every time I turn on my computer. Fortunately, it seemed to be dying down, but now out comes the book, Kanye had a mental breakdown (big surprise!), Kendall made an offensive commercial, Kylie crashed some kids’ prom….it never ends with these fools. ANYTHING for attention, and, yes, I do include Jenny Jenner in that. She’s always been starved for attention even when she was Bruce. A very pathetic excuse for a human being in my humble opinion. Hope the book tanks.
