Bryan Singer & Jane Lynch join forces on “Ronny and i,” short film written and directed by Guy Shalem
Some major Hollywood players involved in this and I cannot wait to see it!
It’s a tender coming-of-age film shot entirely on a smart-phone in less than 24 hours called Ronny and i.
The film chronicles an original story between childhood friends.
It is executive-produced by X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer and Emmy-winning Glee star Jane Lynch.
The short film will be making the summer festival route prior to a national VOD release.
Written and directed by Guy Shalem (Lovespring, Off Their Rockers), the story follows best friends Adam and Ronny on a weekend getaway after the former has been dumped by his girlfriend.
The tale mirrors a secret Shalem has harbored for two decades.
“I have followed Guy’s work for many years and this short film captures an incredibly intimate feeling that is difficult to describe. I hope it gets the attention it deserves,” says Singer.
Adds Lynch: “I am excited for everyone to experience this film. I am so proud of Guy’s latest collaboration, which movingly brings the story of his first love to the screen.”
