Bruce Jenner’s highly-anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer airs tonight on “20-20″
The day for the airing of Bruce Jenner’s highly-anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer has finally arrived.
‘It’s going to be an emotional roller coaster but somehow I’m going to get through it,’ Jenner says in the latest in a series of promos. ‘I want to know how this story ends…you know… how does my story end?’
Sawyer appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America and The View Friday to hype the two-hour special during which Jenner is expected his to publicly disclose that he is transitioning to female.
‘We talked to members of [Jenner’s] family, including his little older sister, who tells us what she saw when they were growing up,’ Sawyer said on GMA. ‘And I think you’re going to learn about family love. This is a family love story.’
Jenner, now 65, came to fame nearly 40 years ago as winner of the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. What followed was a flurry of endorsements and a career in broadcasting and acting.
Since 2007, Jenner has appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians with daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, sons Brody and Brandon Jenner and stepchildren Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian along with now ex-wife Kris Jenner.
Sawyer asks Jenner in the interview if he’s going to be okay.
Jenner replies: ‘Yeah, I hope I’m going to be OK. I feel like I’m going to be OK.’

Joe says:
What an effing freakshow!
Greg Hernandez says:
Why don’t we wait to see the interview Joe before we judge?
FAEN says:
@Joe-way to be empathetic.
Chip says:
I have zero-sympathy/empathy/etc. for any of the Kardashians who are famous for being famous I guess? I haven’t seen any of them have talent.
In this case though, I don’t understand people like Joe above. While I hate his recent publicity hounding ways, I do have empathy for what he is facing in this. People like Joe and others who say far worse things are the reason so many people in the LGBT community still fear for their lives and have issues with their mental health.
Hopefully they will begin to realize those with such reactions are the problem and not put that burden on themselves.
FAEN says:
I’m sad it took this long to transition but I hope from now on she’s whole and happy.
Scott K says:
During their transition, our trans brothers and sisters should be recognized by their respective pronouns. Diane should have done research with trans folks to at least know that this seemingly minimal acknowledgement is a very important part of the growth into their new bodies, lives and selves.
Greg Hernandez says:
Jenner asked to be referred to as “he” in the interview
Joe says:
I just want to clarify that I can’t stomach any of the members of the Kardashian / Jenner / West clan They’re ALL FREAKS in my opinion.
So, if you don’t like my earlier comment, too bad. Have a good day.
