Billy Eichner is cast in next ‘American Horror Story’
Busy Billy Eichner now has three jobs.
The openly gay funnyman has landed a recurring role in the upcoming season of the FX anthology series American Horror Story.
He is already the star of the reality show Billy on the Street on TruTV and of the Hulu comedy Difficult People.
Little is known about the latest AHS except that it is set in the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election and that the first episode takes place on election night.
Perhaps influencing his casting is the fact that Eichner has been highly critical of Donald Trump’s administration on Twitter.
He has more than 1 million followers on the social media platform and has referred to Trump as a ‘real idiot’ and ‘fragile’ among other insults.
It is known that AHS regular Sarah Paulson will star in the new season and Eichner will be playing one of her close confidantes.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Eichner’s character ‘mostly will be wearing mysterious tank tops.’
The latest season will be comprised of 11 episodes and Eichner will appear in at least more than half of them.
Shooting of the new episodes begins in May.
In addition to his two current series, Eichner had a recurring role on NBC’s Parks & Recreation.
