Aubrey O’Day wins money for anti-bullying group GLSEN then bullies Arsenio Hall on “Celebrity Apprentice”

I think it is absolutely wonderful that Aubrey O’Day won $50,000 on Celebrity Apprentice to benefit the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

GLSEN is an is an organization that seeks to end discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

What isn’t so wonderful is what happened on Sunday’s episode of the show after O’Day won the money: she bullied fellow contestant Arsenio Hall much in the way a bully would to another kid at school because Arsenio refused to do a cheerleading or tap dance routine as part of their winning project.

‘Arsenio is the biggest girl on this show, so I don’t know why he doesn’t like tap dancing or wearing cheerleading outfits,’ O’Day said. ‘We all know he does it at home.’

Uh boy.

You can read what GLSEN has to say about all of this in a story I posted over at Gay Star News.

4 Remarks

  1. A week ago, there was an uproar because Aubrey called Clay Aiken “a bitchy queen” but it was bleeped out when the show aired.

If anyone is the epitome of a bully, it is Aubrey O’Day.

    RichB in PS says:

Wish I would hear more of appropriate public out cry but I would settle for at least “you are fired” from the show — could be one of the reasons I do not watch this show…

  3. Is it just me, or does the LGBT community regularly employ bullies for it’s charities?

First it was Dan Savage who cussed out the Christian schoolchildren, and now Aubrey O’Day who has been bullying celebrities publicly and causing them to cry. She may also be a racist as she constantly insults Arsenio Hall.

Oh in a funny note, the LGBT community sometimes bullies itself too, as the radical Dan Savage who while bullying people for being “homophobic” himself got ironically glitterbombed for being a “transphobic”.

I gotta admit they are good at making up fake words. They better pray the conservatives never grow a brain and realize they could label them “christphobics” or something. After all there is “islamophobia”.

  4. Something bothered me when Aubrey presented GLSEN the check. 1) She seemed to kinda speak to the students slowly, as if they disabled. 2) She claims she was bullied in school AND had no one to turn to. (that triggered my BS-meter.

How old were the kids in the room? I thought they were high school-aged. BUT what’s with all the colored pictures behind them? High schoolers coloring? Maybe they were middle-school aged?
