Arrow star Bex Taylor-Klaus comes out as non-binary “I am who I am and you can’t take that away from me”

Congratulations to Arrow star Bex Taylor-Klaus who came out publicly as non-binary.

Good for them!

They wrote in a tweet: “I came out as trans non-binary in a room full of people today. Guess it’s time for me to do that on here, too …”

Taylor-Klaus came out as gay in 2016 saying in part: “Terrified, absolutely terrified. Part of why I’m coming out is because there’s so much hate and fear in and around the LGBT community right now and it’s important for us not to halt progress out of fear… [It’s] a scary time, but we need to stand up and say, even if you are afraid, I’m not afraid, or even if I am afraid, I’m strong. I am who I am and you can’t take that away from me.”

Sometimes it scary to stand strong in who you are. We are taught to conform, to appease, to obey. But why? There’s no reason good enough for you to sacrifice your happiness. You are powerful. You have the ability to make your own path in this world. Find a way to change the narrative today. Stand up for yourself when you would usually turn away. Compliment a random stranger.
