Woody Allen Memoir Dropped by Hachette After Staff Walkout The Hollywood Reporter

2 Remarks

    James Dwight Williamson says:

I think there was a walkout by the employees of Hatchette, protesting. I can’t be impartial , I have never liked Woody Allen ,he has always given me the creeps.

  2. This is the result of a reduction in societal values or lacking a belief in anything – there is no conviction to stand up for what you believe in or what you know to be right. Freedom of speech, regardless of the content of the speech is speech that has a right to be expressed. Because this publisher believes in pandering and believes in nothing but appeasing and making a dollar, a fight for anything other than its right to make money is a fight not worth having. Hatchette should allow Ronan and its employees to walk out if that is what they feel they must do to express their fragile sensibilities and objections. Hatchette should also publish Woody Allen’s book because he too has a right to express himself over the objections of cancel culture. How is it possible to object to something that you haven’t even had the opportunity to read yet? Thought control in any form is unacceptable and intolerable.
