Adam Lambert asks his fans not to drive radio stations crazy with too many request for his music

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert has made clear that he loves his fans. But do they love him a little bit too much back?

The singing sensation, whose album For Your Entertainment remains in the Billboard top 30,  took to Twitter today to wish everyone a Happy New Year and to ask people to ease up a bit on calling radio stations and asking to hear his music.

According to his official website, Adam was disqualified from the weekly competition on the top 40 radio show Open House Party because people were mass voting outside of their actual cities.

“I love that you want to support my music and call in requests, but please be mindful of how often you do so,” Adam tweeted. “Open House Party is a great supporter of my songs, but when there is an organized group of fans calling stations nonstop, … It understandably upsets them. Stations can track over-use of requests and fraudulent requests and I would hate to lose their support. I really appreciate your passion and dedication to getting my music on the radio, but don’t drive the stations crazy! :) thanks friends!”

Okay Adam, I’ll take some of those stations off my speed dial!

Update: Adam has now posted this Tweet: “FYI. That doesn’t mean to stop requesting!! Just try not to do it 30 times in one day…. Just Cool it on the redial/resend kick. :)
