Actor-activist Wilson Cruz has this wish on his 39th birthday: Support GLAAD in 2012!
When he was Rickie Vasquez on My So-Called Life, Genito on Noah’s Arc, Victor on Party of Five, and Angel in Broadway’s Rent, Wilson Cruz was openly gay.
The actor, who turns 39 today, has been openly gay for more than half of his life and became so decades before he was joined by Zachary Quinto, Jim Parsons, Anderson Cooper, Sam Champion, Matt Bomer and many others.
He’s a very brave man.
And a busy one. Wilson, a longtime LGBT activist, is juggling acting roles with a new job as a national spokesman and director of strategic giving for GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
That leads us to this video Wilson has made. He is using his birthday to try and raise money for GLAAD and there is a matching funds offer going on.
Give it a look and happy birthday to this most amazing man!
