Aaron Schock chided by MSNBC anchor for posting shirtless surfing photo on Instagram
Aaron Schock, the Republican congressman from Illinois, can’t seem to keep his shirt on.
He was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe yesterday to discuss a recent congressional trip to several Asian countries and immigration reform. But it was a recent Instagram picture of him surfing in Hawaii that was most interesting.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski chided Schock for posting the picture which shows him “sculpted perfectly and the angle is just right and you Instagramed it.”
Schock acknowledged that he’s “never been bashful about being in shape.”
Brzezinski said the Instagram made him look “needy.”
“Other people have to post hot pictures of you, not you, okay?” she said. “Take the advice from Mika.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, thanks.” Schock said.
Schock has made his previously public Instagram account private after Americablog did a post on The 7 Gayest Aaron Schock Instagram Posts of 2013. This led to former CBS journalist Itay Hod essentially out Schock in a Facebook post that went viral in January.
Hod says Schock is closeted which infuriated him because has consistently voted against pro-gay legislation such as the demise of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
Schock has not commented about the speculation.
