Andy Cohen gets name in WWHL title and a new studio

Andy Cohen is getting his name added to the title of his Bravo late night talk show.

As of January, the popular celebrity gabfest will be known as Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The show will also be moving into a bigger studio on January 3 where it will be able to double the size of its audience and have live musical guests.

‘Our new clubhouse is the perfect upgrade for us because it won’t lose any of the intimacy or lunacy provided by our current home,’ Cohen tells Variety.

‘We’re going from an audience of 22 to about 50, plus we have roof access and a whole lot of new surprises. It’s like moving from a Tic Tac (container) to a studio apartment.’

Cohen, 49, is the first openly gay host of a US late night talk show.

His show began as a weekly program online in 2009 to recap Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. It then moved to television where and was expanded to five nights a week in 2012.

Cohen is a former Bravo executive who is executive producer of the talk show as well as of the Real Housewives franchise.

Among the show’s guests have been Oprah Winfrey, Cher, Lady Gaga, Meryl Streep and Cohen’s close friends Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker.
